Just saw this (should've search first):
I see this too and I don’t see a place in Matter settings in HE where I can name my HE Matter config to change this. I’m thinking that when the Hubitat team was originally testing matter, this is what they called the integration and never renamed it for release. Not the end of the world, but would be nice for those who add their matter devices to multiple platforms to be able to see that this one is Hubitat instead of Matter Test. Also confusing like in your situation where it shows up somewhere and it’s not easily identifiable what it is.
I have two HE matter hubs and they BOTH show up as Matter Test. Very confusing!
I've been adding some new Matter stuff and am still seeing "Matter Test". Will this value ever change to "Hubitat" or something more descriptive? Is "test" value indicative of anything? @bcopeland @gopher.ny
Also, it might be useful to note the Matter SDK version on the Matter details page. I see SmartThings is already rolling out 1.5. I understand that there are currently close to zero devices that take advantage of the newest capabilities. But some day!
It's on the radar, just hasn't been a very high priority since it's cosmetic rather than functional.
But yeah, perceptions matter.
