What does the other stuff mean? I can sort of figure it out, but the selectable pings, and messages, etc?

In general, I'd say the idea is to leave them at the default and consider changing something if you're still having problems.

Thanks. I didn't know that page existed.
It almost seems as if they are anticipating problems with leaving general zigbee ping "on".
Is this an example of the new Ping feature?
If so, it's every 5 minutes, not every 3 hours...

Anyway, I don't care as long as it doesn't overwhelm my hub!
*It sure is crazy when you have many of that type of device, and your log is filled with those messages.

I agree. I have nine of them, but together they are only using 0.018% of my hub's processing time.
