I've just realized that since I've gone to the new mode manager, Away mode is not being set by mode manager. I've checked the actual presence sensor device and the presense sensor is working correctly. When I check the logs, absolutely nothing is being triggered when the presence sensor leaves. Things are being triggered by time though.
I'm stumped. I've tried just about every setting I can think of., some logical and some not so, to no avail.
If you would take screenshots of the Logs produced by Mode Manager we will be able to see exactly what is going on.
That's the issue.. Absolutely nothing gets logged when I leave. logs are fine when I get back. Here is the log file from my triggering presence leaving, followed by me arriving.
Show the Event Subscriptions from the App Status page for Mode Manager (gear icon top right of the app page, or just left on the Apps list)
Your Mode Manager set up is wrong. You should remove all of the Presence entries for Day, Evening and Night. The single entry for Presence to Return from Away will do what you want. That is, it will use the mode listed in the Times table for whatever time it is.
Those logs show you arriving, not leaving. Also, isolate the logs to just the presence sensor and Mode Manager.

okay.. Thanks.. that seemed to have solved it. Strange as that is what the import from the legacy mode manager automatically setup. Might be from early in the beta
It could have been setup that way in the old one. But the whole point of Return from Away is so you don't have to set up those times more than once, and if you want to change them, you only have to do that one place.
