I just started integrating my Hubitat with Amazon Alexa. Was making good progress with it. then, I did the hubitat 2.1.8.117 update last night. Seems to have broken it. After reboot, Alexa couldn't control anything connected by hubitat. Says device is not responding. I went to my hubitat dashboard and found that the Amazon Echo Skill was no longer even there! Where'd it go? Who knows.
Added it back, but alexa still is not able to control things anymore. What went wrong?
You can't add the skill from HE. You have to authorize your devices from Alexa.. Otherwise the tokens are not exchanged properly. If you can't find the Alexa app in HE, then you can try and go into the Alexa app and re-select the devices to sync. But I think you're going to have to remove Hubitat from Alexa altogether and re-add it.
And as far as this being a problem with 2.1.8.117, you would have definitely seen a TON of people posting about it if that was the problem.
