I have migrated from C8 to C8Pro.
This happened around 11pm last night, so quality control might not have been as good as it should have.
I backed up up the SS table to the C8.
Naturally, I forgot to backup the .json file to the MacBook.
But, when I migrated, I clicked off all the boxes, including File Manager, so the SS table came over to the C8Pro's File Manager.
Being new to the MacBook/Safari world, I had set the download file residency to one day. Changed that back to manual. I didn't need the local backup, but still....
I did not go out of my way to restore the SS table, image sample below, after refreshing the table. Don't mind the pending...that's the way it was. SS is useless except that it's required to bring in LR devices.
I also updated the Z-wave radio firmware.
What I've been finding lately, with the C8 as well, a Hub update requires refreshing of just about all the powered devices. I don't remember always having to do that.
Waiting now for the battery devices to come back on line. Flipping the lights on and off, especially bending down for those pesky plugs, gives me an appreciation of home automation.
So should Tony Fleisher's Z-Wave Mesh Details app still work after converting to ZwaveJS? Because mine just hangs and hangs. 30 minutes and counting...
That’s everything, because when disabled they are only in the app and not saved to the hubs smart start list.
All expected behavior, nothing to be concerned about. Smart start is only used for inclusion and nothing else. I have explained this more in detail elsewhere I am sure.
So for what it's worth I've waited more than 48 hours and that fourth First Alert ZCOMBO fire/CO alarm never has checked in. So, I'll manually wake it up. I ended up manually "waking up" all my battery powered Z-Wave devices except this one, so I'm not sure if they would have completed the interview process or not. But, that being said, the Z-Wave network seems solid and reliable. No issues at all really so I'd say it was about 2 hours of work to complete the transition to ZwaveJS. Just reporting back in case anyone else seeks out this thread to strengthen their resolve.
I’ve had a couple of issues with battery devices. One was a Zooz contact sensor that I wound up excluding and including. Swap devices didn’t work and I had to replace it manually.
The other is a Zooz leak sensor that I’m still troubleshooting.
