ZWave "Rebuild route" Button - What for is it?

Many but not all ZWave Devices have a "Rebuild route" button:

Clicking on this Button initiates a rebuild process, task complete successfully but nothing is changed (i.e. Button remains present).

All Devices with this Button present are working just fine.
So, what the purpouse of this Button?

I would expect mains powered devices to have it but battery devices likely won’t given they are “sleepy” devices.

This button came along with the C8 (maybe even C7] where you can individually repair a specific device vs the entire mesh like older hubs.

Edit: from the docs:

  • Rebuild route will attempt a per-node Z-Wave repair (usually not necessary but preferred over a full network repair if needed).

Yes, this is a case. You are correct.
So, this is a renamed former "Repair" button.
Frankly, the older name better reflected what this button should do.
New name a bit confusing because I was thinking it will force a device to forget current routing table and rebuild route from scratch.
Anyway, thank you.

PS.
I am a person who do not read any docs unless it is absolutely neccesary.
