Zwave has worked well for me - should I keep it up?

I have a C5 hub. It’s worked great. I have a ton of zwave devices and never had an issue. Never even had to redo the zwave mesh. Thinking towards the future though, should I keep buying zwave devices? At some point I’ll upgrade my hub to the C9 or whatever is next, presumably with Thread and Matter support. And if the C9 zwave radio is as troublesome as the C7’s, then all of my zwave bliss could come crashing down. What do you think? Keep buying zwave devices because they are working well for me? Or switch to something else? Or hang tight and try to get by without new devices until Thread devices start coming along?

One option I suppose would be to just plan on keeping my C5 hub in production even after getting the next hub, and use it just for zwave…

ZWave's going to be around for a while so I think you'll be fine continuing to purchase what works for you. Moving your zwave devices from one hub to another is much easier (I am told, I have no direct experience) with hub protect but honestly why bother if what you have works. If you decide to get a new hub you can always use hub mesh and keep your devices connected to your current hub.

So I guess my recommendation is the one you proposed...
