I have tried everything listed in previous posts regarding this situation but I am unable to remove the “ghost device”. Remove appears, but it fails with a log entry of: Failed node 1F remove status: 0 SDK failure node is no longer in failed node list. I have shut the hub down, removed power for up to 10 minutes and restarted to no avail. I believe this all started with trying to add a SmartStart device. One other piece of information is this hub is a C-8 that was migrated from a C-7 a couple of years ago and is running v2.5.0.159 platform. I’ve been told there is a known issue with SmartStart and Migrated hubs. Any help would be appreciated.

it's most likely still as active device . u need to find it and temporarily disable it .. I unplug/remove power and or remove battery before trying the exclude it .

Unlikely to do anything unless the device is still paired as the nodeID trying to be removed. Once the device is reset or paired to a different node ID it would no longer respond on the ghosted node ID.

remove status: 0 SDK failure node is no longer in failed node list is basically a known bug with the ZIP gateway at this point. Typically happens any time the node is showing more than 1 neighbors.

Switching to ZwaveJS, usually will allow you to remove it, but that has to be forced with special endpoint on a standard C8 hub.

Thanks Jeff. The only thing is I have all physical devices accounted for. So it must be an existing device that got paired to a new node ID. I have killed the power to all devices and shutdown the hub for 10 minutes in hopes the zwave radio would clear that entry, but no luck.

Where can I find more info on ZwaveJS endpoints.

Shutdown (even after reboot) then unplug power for 1 minute then power back up.

Remove ghost node

After you remove

yourhubip/hub/zwave2/disable

Precisely, the info about powering down the device that created the ghost is a myth, nothing more. I wish people would stop suggesting it.
