Zwave crashed/unresponsive

C8 running 2.3.9.201

I got this hub about a year ago. I paired it with my Vivint CT100 thermostat and Schlage Keypad Door lock. Everything was working fine last winter and now it won't connect to either of my devices. I don't exactly know when it stopped communicating with my devices, maybe around August 2024 according my devices' event logs. I tried resetting the z wave radio, power cycled it, repair zwave (fails), update firmware (hangs) and even done a full reset. Because it's getting cold where I am, I only noticed this until recently because I primarily use the hub to control the thermostat. I suspect something may be wrong with the zwave radio.

Shut down hub from settings menu. Unplug power for 1 minute and power back up. Should be fine.

Done that multiple times, the logs still show z wave crashed.

What does your hub event log say? When is z-wave crashing?

I had the hub on WiFi, so I could be closer to my devices when I tried repairing them. For some reason after the manual shutdown, it wouldn't connect to WiFi, so I had to connect to Ethernet.

Location events logs still show z wave crashed/unresponsive.

Edit: Using OEM power block not splitter.

Do the logs show when the z-wave radio went down?

Less than two hours after boot up

check your device logs and see if anything is being really chatty. Temporarily turn off cloud back ups

Thanks for your help! I don't have any devices connected after full reset of hub. Remote backups are off.

If you did a Full Reset you reset your radios which means that unless you have a recent cloud backup you will have to manually re pair each and every device you have. How did you do the full reset?

Yeah Ive tried manually repairing my devices multiple times but no dice.

You are excluding or factory resetting the devices prior to trying to join again right? Can you post your z-wave details page?

I tried excluding then including my devices several times. I've reset my thermostat, but it didn't help with pairing. I haven't reset my door lock yet.

Sorry about the weird screenshots, I'm away from home using remote access with my phone.

I would reset just the radio and then try again. (Not a full reset)

I reset the z wave radio and tried to pair my thermostat. Location events is saying z wave crashed as soon I started the pairing process. I'm also having this issue where my hub won't stay on my network even with it connected to ethernet. I've had to reconnect power to get to boot up again to access the web ui.

at this point go to support.hubitat.com and click, warranty (even if it's out of warranty) and see what @bobbyd have to say. Do you have a hub protect sub?

I've submitted a ticket with warranty already. No I don't have hub protect, but I probably should get it.
