Any suggestions on an air quality monitor that measures PPM? (I'd like to have an exhaust fan turn on when the air quality (dust) in my shop exceeds a given level).
I saw the MCO Home A8-9 Z-Wave Air Quality Monitor, which may be supported, but can't find anywhere that will ship to the US (not even sure it's compatible with US Z-wave frequencies).
So, any suggestions on a ZWave air quality sensor that works with Hubitat?
Thanks.
I use the Frient AQI (zigbee)
I'm not aware of any Z-Wave devices. There are some Zigbee options, as mentioned above, if you're able to use those, or there are also some Matter options (the IKEA Alpstuga as Matter over Thread, and the two new-ish Sonoff ones are Matter over Wi-Fi).
EDIT: though I don't think any do VOCs, just particulate matter and/or CO2.
thanks, but the Frient one seems to be VOCs not PPM?
Zwave and currently works with hubitat…. There are a few listed on the zwave alliance page. This one does do PPM. I use purpleair, its wifi but works great locally with hubitat.
Just learned something new, it’s on the hubitat supported device list. You CAN have your cake and eat it too
Thank you, I also stumbled across that one, it looks ideal, however, I can’t seem to find it in the US.
I don't think they're in business anymore. Their website is dead
I use multiple products from AirThings and they work reliably. I have the polling set for 6 minutes. They use a cloud API. Some of the devices require a hub to connect with wifi. Some like the 2960 have a hub built-in and can support addition non hub devices.
Thanks. Ended up using PurpleAir. Works great.
