ZSE50: How to use setColor custom command?

All I get is this:

Then again, I get this when trying the three new commands.
edit: Parameter 7 is one number. I can't see the value in getting fancy with a color wheel. But, whatever.

This isn’t a custom command. It’s the standard capability command. You send it a color map (HSB), whether via the standard action in RM, manually from the device detail page, etc., same as a color bulb or any similar device. (Except in this case, the device is fairly opinionated about when it should be on or not…)

This doesn’t demonstrate anything; RM lets you run any command as “custom.” You just won’t be able to (easily?) get the right data type for the parameter for this one, which is why you’ll need to use it in one of the standard ways that I mentioned (or anything else similar).

Please explain how to change colors programmatically with a tested example.

Hmmm, instead of choosing a custom action… does the Kit Chime Siren show up as a bulb? I have several multifunction devices where the LED portion shows up as a bulb in RM. Maybe it works better that way?

That, again, is a custom action/command, not the standard action. See my posts above.

Got it.
It's not just a Power Source, it's a bulb.
And custom commands don't work.
