I thought I would post this for those looking to improve their experience with the Zooz ZSE50 Siren & Chime. I didn't see anything and didn't get alerted to it. This is my biggest gripe with this device where you add a file for playback and you have to adjust all rules to match the newly mixed up tone numbers. You can use the Device Firmware Updater app to get it transferred OTA. It takes forever to update so be patient.
Firmware – Version 1.20 (released 10/2025 as OTA)
- Improved Tone File Management: Resolved the tone file ordering issue by introducing fixed, addressable locations for each tone. Adding or removing sound files will no longer alter the sequence of existing tones. This update ensures that scenes remain consistent and unchanged when new files are loaded.
