Hey guys, so I just got done adding my third zen52 to a ceiling fan and something is wonky. I'm on a c8 hub.
The problem is that after toggling on relay 2 through the web UI, the state quickly changes back to off and now I cannot control the relay anymore. Power cycling resets the relay but once I turn it on it is stuck on again while reporting that it is off. Sometimes I can toggle it two or three times before it gets stuck. This issue only affects relay 2. Relay 1 operates normally. So this makes me think it's not any kind of Z-Wave issue. I worked with the zooz support for several days emailing back and forth trying different fixes, New firmware, etc but nothing worked. They finally sent me a new relay on warranty and surprise surprise this one is doing the same thing. The only difference I can see between this relay and my previous two is that it's on firmware 1.8 and my other two are on 1.7.
The first two zen52s work perfectly and all my ceiling fans are the same so I really don't think that's the issue.
Could this be related to the newer firmware? Or is this an issue with my hub? I verified every setting is identical to my two working relays.
Update: okay I just had a breakthrough and I feel stupid for not trying this before. I unchecked " show common commands first" so now the UI gives me separate on off buttons instead of the slider. Everything works Normally. It seems like this is a bug with The state not updating. The slider won't send the off command because it thinks it's already off.
Update 2: in case anyone hits a similar issue, the problem was the firmware. I downgraded the unit to 1.7 and the problem disappeared. For some reason the zen52 on firmware 1.8 does not update its state correctly with the hub.
