Zooz zen23 switch

I’ve have a zooz zen23 switch which controls lights on the exterior of my home. Recently, I changes the bulbs with Sylvania Smart+ Br30 RGB bulbs. I was wondering could I change the settings of the switch to not cut power to the bulbs, but instead change the state of the bulb to on off. This way the zigbee mesh would not be disrupted.

What firmware is it? Go to the device page, and it should be at the very bottom of that page.

Looks like I have ver 1 firmware ver 20.15. There are a lot of setting but not one for the toggle action.

The latest firmware version I know about is version 4.1 (says 4.01 on otz file) and can only be applied to Zooz models >= V3.

In the properties assuming you are using the "Zooz Central Scene Switch" driver there is a "Manual Control Enabled" setting.. never tried it before though.

Note that over the air firmware updates weren't introduced until v3.0. Starting with v1 firmware, the update process is likely more painful. I'd recommend contacting Zooz support to get help updating this device. Tagging @agnes.zooz for an expert look at your case.

So I am terribly confused which seems to be my usual state these days.. I thought that with the Zooz toggle switches there are hardware revisions.. V1, V2, V3 etc and then firmware revisions.

For example my upstairs Zooz switches are V2s and I thought it was not possible to update these at all? Is this not correct?

ZEN21, ZEN22, ZEN23, ZEN24 models can be updated only if they're VER. 3.0 or higher. You can apply 4.01 to VER. 3.0 no problem but you would need to reset the switch after.

@jrego7 it looks like you have an older version, probably VER. 1.0 which doesn't support OTA updates or the smart bulb mode. If you'd like to use a smart switch with the bulbs without cutting power to them, the ZEN23 VER. 4.0 which supports this feature is on sale this weekend at The Smartest House.

Just for reference, any version of ZEN26, ZEN27, or ZEN30 models supports OTA updates.
