So I am fairly sure my device has failed. Howerver it would not be the first time I was wrong.
When plugged in the device will power cycle itself non stop every second or so even with my hubitat hub shutdown. Anyone else seen such a thing with their power strip?
It is the newer hardware I believe and less than a year old.
I own 2, and not a fan. Very chatty and weak antennas. If it's next to my hub it works great, but when moved to my living space, 20x20 with 5 powered zw+ repeaters, and the zen20 is a sluggish dog. But have never seen the behavior you're describing. Is the wall outlet okay? Try another outlet.
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've experienced with the power strip. Would you be able to get in touch with our support with your order number and a list of devices connected to the strip so we can troubleshoot and possibly service the device for you since we haven't seen this behavior before?
My un-examined guess is some protection circuit is rapidly cycling, definitely not normal.
Keep us updated on your resolution, although Zooz has a pretty stellar support record.
I just wanted to round back on this. Support from zooz was excellent. Even though I was 6 months out of warranty they shipped me a replacement. I know they did not have to this. Thank you @agnes.zooz for going the extra mile.
My Zoo Zen20 completely went dead. I tested with lamp or fan, all 5 outlets do not have power. 2 LED's were complete gone, remaining 3 are flickering. Try to factory reset, nothing happens! I paid so much for this, and it's gone within 18 months.
Have you contacted our tech support to check about service options for the device?
As mentioned in the product documentation, the ZEN20 VER. 2.0 is not rated for use with fans and other inductive loads with high inrush current so it's possible it was damaged by the load unfortunately.
