I am using a Zooz Zen16, and have wired up one of the old wired security sensors on a sliding glass door to the unit. It shows "On" and "Off". I am wondering if there is a way I can change that to "open" or "Closed" or if there is a simple app I should use. My daughter can open the door so we would ideally like it to announce "sliding glass door open" through Alexa 
Unless I’m misunderstanding, just create a virtual switch triggered by the Zooz, import that to Alexa and then create a routine in Alexa to Speak “sliding door open” etc. whenever that switch turns on or off, whichever corresponds to being open. Admittedly I don’t have a Zen16 so there might be something I don’t know here.

Worked great. Now if I can figure out the if then for it it's open and closed. The gui makes things so much more difficult with rule machine.
