I have a Zooz Zen06 switch that was working in another room of the house, further away from the hub. I've moved it closer to the hub albiet behind an entertainment center to control some accent lights in the entertainment unit. It's registering power consumption ok, but I can't control it to turn it on and off. I've attempted to run several zwave repairs and each time in the logs I see:
It attempts "Repair setting SUC Route" a few more times and then finishes the repair. I never see anything else for this device.
Any idea what's going on here and why it won't turn on and off. I let it sit a few days already thinking it just needed to take some time to repair. The funny part is I have an aeotec range extender less then 3 feet from it that I added for my Schlage locks on my door to help with my mesh, and that doesn't seem to help this device either. Do I need to just switch to a different switch? I was thinking of replacing it with an in wall Enerwave dual outlet ... but don't want to spend $40 just to have the same issue with that device. I have an Aeotec zwave plus multisensor in a bathroom directly on the other side of the wall in the ceiling that's working just fine as well.
Probably the route is not working because you moved it, the best is to unpair it and then re pair in its final location so it can get the correct route, then do a z wave repair. Good luck.
I’m beginning to think these switches are a piece of junk. I just took a Brand new one out of the box (I had two) and plugged it in, it paired right up... but when you turn the switch on, it doesn’t actually provide power. The original switch that isn’t responding, holding the button down for 20 seconds won’t allow it to even factory reset it so I can re-add it. I’m just going to buy a few aeotec switches and an enerwave outlet for behind the TV and call it a day. I already replaced a few zooz multisensors because they’re junk.. why did I think this was going to be any different.
I personally have Zooz, they work great, but I have zen 22 and 23 so not sure if other models are junk, just have patience, remember you are using generic drivers and sometimes not everything is perfect.
Not for nothing but I have 2 that have worked flawlessly. There was a minor issue with the LED depending on what firmware they were on. I'm pretty sure that was fixed. Not a big deal for me so I haven't even checked. 1 brought over from ST and I picked another one up this year. I'm using the Zooz Power Switch driver.
I have the zen06, zen07, zse08, zse18, zen15, zse40, zen23 and zen24. I have had them all for a long time and they all work flawlessly in HE. I brought them over from HS.
BTW, the zooz light switches only need a single on command when you include them. Some of the zooz devices require 3 quick button pushes and the power switches just a single on.
I also use the zooz power switch as a device driver for the zen06.
Have you got in touch with our support to take a look at the issues you experienced? It's possible it's a configuration issue or maybe an incompatible device connected to the plug. Either way, we'd like to help and make this right for you!
Sorry i did not. After the 2nd Switch wouldn’t even provide power I threw them both in the trash and bought enerwave power outlets which are working perfect since installing them. I appreciate you reaching out but I no longer have these switches.
If you do ever get any more zooz devices and have any issues with them TAG @agnes.zooz to get a quicker response, they have provided outstanding device support above and beyond any other company in this forum (actually I think they are the ONLY device company on this forum providing device support, I could be wrong). They even offer to send you a loaner zwave stick to upgrade firmware in you older devices.
I'm sorry to hear that! All of our products are covered under warranty for a year and we're always committed to helping anyone out even beyond the warranty period, there's nothing worse than being stuck with a product you can't use.
We haven't heard of any issues installing the ZEN06 on Hubitat but we'll run some tests to make sure it works well. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions going forward!
