Attempting to include a Zooz Tilt/Shock sensor (ZSE43). It gets stuck after the Security 5 digit input saying "Found zwave device. Initializing ..." then runs out the 90 second clock and times out.
I had the device included at one point and was not able to change the name/settings of the device through the hub (C8). Performed a Soft reset and now this error occurs.
Troubleshooting steps taken:
Hub - soft reset
Hub - firmware updated to newest (Platform version 2.3.8.124)
Tilt Device - factory reset and exclusion
Tilt Device new out of box never included on hub - inclusion (stuck at same spot)
You have likely left a zwave ghost that must be removed.
Independent of that, try a power-cycle before attempting another inclusion. Do a shutdown from the menu, disconnect power from the hub, and then power it back up again.
Before attempting an inclusion, exclude both the tilt sensors and confirm from the live logs that they were successfully excluded.
Ghost device was the issue. now the devices are not being set to the correct device type and when trying to change the type hub UI is giving 500 server error.
There are known issues with FW 124 I would revert to a prior version using the diagnostic tool in case that is part of the issue.
Also, I would suggest using Smart Start to include the device, makes it very easy.
First exclude the device to make sure it is reset, then power it off.
Scan the QR code into the HE mobile app.
Power up the device, and wait 1-2 minutes, it should include by itself.
