My Zooz Q Sensor ZSE11 motion sensors are switching to Hub Mesh On after I have turned it off. Having Mesh ON seems to drains the batteries. I turn it off, but when my battery percentage drops, I check and the mesh is turned back on. It appears to happen after a software upgrade (which is pretty regular). Just updated to 2.4.4.151 and it happened again. I have two sensors doing the same thing and both are running on a C-7 hub. Any clues?
You could see if removing it from Settings > Hub Mesh (assuming that is not where you're looking) does something different from just toggling the setting on the device detail page (assuming that's what you're doing). But this:
Is not possible, as Hub Mesh is just as way to share devices -- events, commands, etc. -- between multiple hubs on your LAN. The device itself knows nothing, nor does the name mean anything about the underlying Z-Wave (or Zigbee, etc.) mesh topology; it's a hub feature (see: Hub Mesh | Hubitat Documentation). If you have battery problems, something else must be the cause.
Thanks for the quick response. After I posted my question, I realized what I did. The left side of my brain and the right side weren't talking.
I'll look more into the settings for the motion sensor operations.
Thanks again.
