Zooz fade on

I have a zooz Zen22 version 4 and I’m trying to set up a rule so when I double tap the top paddle the light will gradually fade on over the course of 10 minutes. I’ve tried multiple times but I can’t get it to work. There are so many options to choose from I’m not really sure exactly how to do it. Can someone show me how to do this please? Thanks!

One option would be two use Rule Machine with the double-click as the trigger, or use the button controller with the double-click. Then the following (untested) rule should work:

Thanks. I tried it as you suggested but it just turns the light on to 100% immediately. I even tried using the run action button in the app. Any ideas?

Fade time is device dependent. If it doesn't work, you could use Fade Dimmer over Time.

zwave dimming is weird. Per the spec, duration values of 0-127 are in seconds, then 128-254 are in minutes (with 128=1 minute, 254=127 minutes... 2's complement notation.).

So 10 minutes is 137 (decimal) on the duration setting for a zwave device.

255 is a special case, being "factory default".

All that said, I don't remember how hubitat passes the duration parameter - whether it converts it somehow, or passes the raw value. I did look into that one time, but I forget the answer. See next post.
