I have several zigbee water sensors by TZ3000 model TS0207. The older ones display status on both the Home and Devices screens. However, my newer batch displays dry/wet on the Home screen but not on the devices screen.
From my home screen....
From my devices screen...
When testing these newer devices, I also see this strange behavior. When wet, they will turn off my water valve but will not always turn on the alarm. If I lift up the sensor and place back in the water, the alarm activates. All my older sensors activate both together.
The Safety Monitor rule that I am using is...
As anyone seen this?
You need to set the "Default current state" preference on the device, which determines what attribute shows in this column on the Rooms and Devices page. A shortcut to edit this is to use the pencil icon in the column itself and choose the attribute there. You did this for the previous devices, apparently, but the default is nothing, so that explains what you see now.
Not sure about your HSM problem, but I'd suggest two things:
- Turn on all logging for the app (HSM), if not already enabled, then see what Logs for the app say -- a good troubleshooting step for any app problem.
- Open HSM and hit "Done" (if you haven't since adding your sensor) since you're using the "All leak and water detectors" option and that applies only at the time when the app was saved, not for any future devices you add unless you go in and save your settings again like this would do (see: Hubitat® Safety Monitor | Hubitat Documentation).

Thank you! I am seeing the status now. I also have re-saved my HSM setting and max logging is on. I think the extra data will be helpful.
