I have a C8, 2.4.3.149 Its up to date. I went through all the help suggestions I could find. No luck.
Yesterday the Zigbee was offline. I've done everything from hard restart, rolled back to a db backup, safe mode restart, changed the channel from 20 to 15. many reboots of the radio and rebuilding.
I did get it to restart on channel 15 yesterday for a bit, after almost 24 hrs none of the zigbee devices were reconnected. I changed to a different channel and it would stay off line.
Now I keep trying to reset the channel back to 15 and every time I change the channel it says online, but as soon as I go back into the zigbee settings its offline and the channel is set to 20.
The reason you can’t change the channel is likely because the radio is offline — it’s not receiving your command. Instead, it’s just reporting the last known channel from when it was last online.
What else can I do. I've had this C8 for a long time and only a couple times in the past the zigbee went offline, but a simple restart always worked. Now I can't get it to stay online. Every time I reboot the radio and get it to say ONLINE as soon as I do anything like exit the screen and renter or just refresh the screen it goes back to offline.
Powering off a radio without addressing the underlying issue is like unplugging an old computer every time it freezes — it might seem like a quick fix, but repeated hard shutdowns can wear down the components until one day it won’t turn back on at all.
If you have Hub Protect, you can take advantage of the extended warranty to request a replacement. Or if your hub is still within its original warranty period, you’d be entitled to a free replacement as well.
I am having a similar issue several of my switches stopped working and the radio shows online but I am not sure its working as I can not add any zigbee devices or re add them. Zwave seems to work ok. Can you help to see if I need a new hub?
