Zigbee Not Working

A few days ago, a couple of my contact sensors stopped working. I figured it was just a battery issue. I ordered new batteries. But it didn't seem to solve the issue. I factory reset the contact sensor and tried to readd it to the hub. But it didn't find any devices. I tried a second time, same thing. I had a brand-new contact sensor that was never added and tried to add that, and the hub won't find that either. And now it seems as if none of my automations are working, and also the connection to google home seems to be down. I ask google to turn something off and it dings like it worked (and shows on the screen that it went off) but the light didn't turn off. I have reconnected google home and habitat. I have checked the logs and don't see any issues. I have rebooted the hub; I have restarted the ZigBee radio. Nothing seems to fix it.

I'm at a loss as to what is happening with everything.

Also just noticed for the last week or so mu cloud backup has failed. I checked the logs again and tried to turn a ZigBee light on from the device list. According to the logs it turned the light on, but it actually didn't turn it on.

OK, so I shutdown the hub using the diagnostic tool. Let it remain off for about 10 minutes. And now it looks as if things are working again.

What likely happened is that your Zigbee radio went offline and the backup failed because the Zigbee radio was offline. All you have to do in that situation is to shut down the hub from Settings and when the light on the hub turns red, unplug the hub for a minute. Then everything should work again.
