Been running hubitat C7 hub for years and in the last 10 days or so my ZigBee network keeps going offline. The only two things I can trace this back to is possibly applying the latest updates or adding a sonoff Zigbee ZBMicro USB switch. I have 25 total ZigBee devices.
Rebooting my hub gets the network to work again, but it goes offline a few hours later.
Check the logs and zigbee logs. Maybe there's a zigbee device that is spamming the zigbee controller (hub). This sometimes happens when sensors go very low on battery.
In addition to the above advice, I would check the Zigbee Details page in the Settings tab, sort the right column messages from high to low, and see if any one device is significantly more chatty than others.
In the end, I took it off my main C-7 and added it to my other C-7, which had no Zigbee devices. I then used Hub Mesh to being the device to my main C-7. That worked flawlessly.
I have 3 total on my 2nd C-7 and they work just fine that way.
It is exactly a problem with this device. Multiple people have reported this exact problem once they add the Sonoff ZBMicro to their mesh. See the other thread that has been linked.
I read the reports of issues with them and was getting the odd ZigBee radio shutdown when they were added. I updated to the latest firmware for these devices and no longer had/have issues.
It might be worth trying the update and see if it helps.
I'm on a C8 and I cannot run this device either. I've put it back a couple of times and at one point thought it was fine. But I have removed the 3 I had in place. Updated firmware did not help me. IMHO it is an issue with other devices in your setup. My network does not seem to like Sonoff repeating devices.
Yours and any other available. It's been a while now but I spent 3 months on the zigbee radio reboots. Started with channel and power changes and then on to devices. Taking the Sonoff repeating devices out all but eliminates them. I have a Sonoff SNZB-06P that I had replaced with other mmwaves and went back to this one as it worked best. A side effect of it reaching through the wall sideways is being used.
I still get reboots but they are sporadic. I added the micro back a while ago when I changed out the mmwave(non Sonoff) and the daily reboots did not occur. I thought the issue was resolved, somehow. When I added the SonOff mmwave back numerous reboots pretty much daily. I removed the micro, sporadic reboots. Based on all the reading, and there was alot, and what I've seen in my network, my older devices do not seem to play well with Sonoff repeating devices. The more I have, the worse it gets.
On a side note, I've noticed that on numerous occasions now that when a battery goes in one of my Iris V2 motion sensors or the xfinity/comcast contact sensors(older devices), I always seem to get reboots that cooincide.
As noted in the other thread, I started with the Generic Zigbee Switch, and then switched to your Tuya Zigbee Switch upon your suggestion to try and fix the Zigbee crashes. Sadly, it didn't help.
(Hmmmm. my hub is still running 3.2.1 of Tuya Zigbee Switch. I think I installed directly from github via a link like this one. It doesn't appear to be in any of your HPM packages... or am I missing it somehow?).
I had the ZBMicro working OK without causing problems for probably more than one year on my old C7 hub, but there I have just a few other Zigbee devices.
I will move it to my main C8 hub where I have 60+ Zigbee devices and will monitor it this weekend, will report back then.
ZBMicro USB switch using the Tuya Zigbee Switch driver worked just fine on my main C-8 hub, no Zigbee mesh instability or delayed pings to the other controlled devices. The ZMBicro is far from the chattiest device in my mesh; it's 20 times less chatty than the energy reporting plugs... I am using it with the 'Turbo Mode' (Zigbee transmitter high power) disabled :
A ZBMicro oddity is that it uses a non-standard way of checking the online/offline status of the Zigbee coordinator. It periodically sends ZDO Active Endpoints Request messages to the hub and expects an answer :
