ZigBee Mesh Connections

C8 Pro Version 2.4.1.151
I have a new setup with a couple of movement and temp/humidity sensors. I also connected four smart outlets. One is used to turn an espresso machine on and off. The others are connected and turned on but not being used at this time. All devices are ZigBee. All the outlets have ZigBee mesh enabled but the two sensors do not have mesh enabled turned on. I know the ZigBee mesh can take time to connect and the other day I saw one sensor connected to the hub through an outlet. This morning, though, all devices are only connected to the hub. Do I need to turn mesh enabled on for the two sensors or does the mesh routinely re-adjust connections?

I ran a channel scan and see activity but I'm not sure what it's saying.

Many thanks for any hints.

That’s fine

Users have no direct control on the Zigbee mesh.

Are you referring to the « hub mesh » toggle in the driver details? If so, that’s for a feature unrelated to Zigbee that allows connecting Hubitat hubs together and sharing devices (of any kind) between them

This tells you about other Zigbee coordinators (like your hub) visible from your hub.

That setting is for adding devices to Hub mesh, where they are shared across 2 hubs. It is not for anything with the Zigbee mesh.

OK, thanks all. I'll turn the Hub mesh back to the default and just let ZigBee do its thing.
