Zigbee lights turning themself on after update 2.3.9

Hi,
After updating to 2.3.9, I am now having all my zigbee lights (x6 all others are z-wave) turning on every 10 or so minutes. All of these are using "Advanced Zigbee RGBW bulb" driver. 2 are philips hue rgbw bulbs and the others are Gledopto strip light controllers. All are directly connected to the hub.

I have tried the following:

  • stopped all rules that use these lights (not dashboards)
  • went though all rules manually to confirm where lights were in use
  • restarted hub
  • rebuilt zigbee network
  • changed zigbee channels and power
  • disabled zigbee on the hub. This fixes the issue but obviously renders devices unusable. Tested this to confirm if any external interference, clearly not.
  • Now I have all powered off and slowly turning back on one by one, waiting enough time to see if a specific light is causing an issue.

Usually I can find issues after a while but I am quite lost on this one. Thinking I could have a faulty hub (zigbee related)?!?!?

Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.

Have you looked at the events for one of the devices causing you issues?
It may give an indication as to what is turning it on.
Here's a quick snapshot for my bathroom light.

Thanks @bobbles , I had previously looked at that but nothing apparent.
I revisited just now and comparing all devices, its possible that a 'state change handler' is causing the issue (Google :fist:)
I will look into this more but could fit as we know google can cause some left field issues.
Thanks.

I just found a 5min polling in the google home app which maybe the issue! Not something I have changed.
I am curious if anyone else has seen a change after updating to 2.3.9???

Personally, no.
Things just keep humming along.

Are you using the native or community GH integration? I use the native GH integration and my polling is still set to "Disabled" (as it has been since install many moons ago).

No google issues or advanced zigbee RGBW issues here running 2.3.9 on a C5.

Check device events (button on the top of device details page).
If a command was issued from the hub, it will show up there, assuming event history size is sufficiently large. It will also show what app/device issued the command.

Thanks all.
Google Home was calling for a refresh command (assuming this is the polling 5min I found). Since disabling this, so far so good.
My zigbee lights are only evening mood lighting thus will let it run its course tonight (Australia based - currently 7:30am).
Still not sure why a refresh command would turn on devices though?

Try going to the device page and click refresh on there, that would have the same effect.

Did it turn them on every 5 mins or just randomly?
