Zigbee Radio goes offline then back to online for 4-5 seconds, this is occuring about 4 times per hour.
I don't have an answer but I know the first question from others will be... C4, C5, C7, C8, C8 Pro?
Model C7
And what firmware version you’re running, plus what Zigbee devices are you using (brand, type), have you recently added any new devices, have you done any troubleshooting (shutdown, reboot, database rebuild). The only way to reboot the radios is with a complete shutdown and restart.
Also, have you looked at the device logs for devices with high event counts that may be overloading the radio or look at Zigbee logs for unusual activity.
Another thing: are you using power reporting on multiple devices? Sometimes this can get very spammy.
Model C7 version # 2.4.0.145
I've done a reboot and a soft reset
No new devices added, the first occurrence was 12/28/24
No unusual acctivity on hub log
What do you consider to be a high event count?
Also, I have not made and changes, no sure what power reporting is.
I guess a outlet (e.g.) with a power meter is meant by @Ken_Fraleigh.
I consider 1000 events per hour high. I have a power/energy reporting outlet on the washing machine that runs around 1000 events per hour when the washing machine is running, but it doesn’t cause issues for me.
I would first try shutting down the hub from the settings page, pulling power at the outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging it back in. See if that makes any difference.
This was the fix for me, might give you some pointers… Zigbee Keeps Going Offline - #23 by kkossev
Look closely at your log times, offline to online: is it closer to about 8 +/- 1 seconds? That's a known phenomenon, with out a clear solution.
I had that problem with a C-7 hub some months back. I switched to a C-8 Pro (that I'd intended to upgrade to anyway) and the problem persisted. I finally (1) reset that new hub to factory level, (2) added all Zigbee devices back (over a 100), (3) ditched every Aqara device I had (mostly contact sensors and push-buttons), (4) and changed my Zigbee channel from 20 to 25. Things have been fine since.
I don't know for sure that the Aqara devices were part of the problem, and they had worked fine for months, but some posts indicated that Aqara is not quite Zigbee 3.0 compliant AND the new Hubitat Firmware directed at Aqara devices had not yet been released (so that might have fixed the problem).
So, if you have Aqara products, I suggest that you (1) remove them from the hub, and (2) de-power them (battery out, unplugged, etc.).
If you want to monitor your Zigbee radio behavior, you might try this Rule, which logs brief crashes (less than 5 minutes) and either reboots or restarts (your choice by setting the vRebootMode boolean variable) the hub.
This workaround is strictly Sonoff-specific.
I found the problem, Sonoff ZBminiR2 units which I have two cause havic with the Zigbee Radio. The second I removed them the problem has totally disappeared! thank you for all your support!
You should be able to keep using the ZBMinis if you use @kkossev ' TUYA Zigbee Switch driver linked above.
