Also interested to know the answer to this. Eyeing up Zigbee smoke alarms for our house, but not really found anything suitable so far.
I've not found any way to do this......
From a networking perspective these battery operated devices deep sleep and only wake up at intervals to send "all clear", battery status and of course if it senses smoke....
