Zigbee driving me INSANE

New C8, migrated from C7. I understand there are some Zigbee issues being sorted out in the new C8, but this issue just makes no sense.

I have outdoor fixtures with Sengled Zigbee color bulbs. The bulbs next to the front door are set to turn green when the door is unlocked, so they are usually changing state many times a day (and on the C7 always stayed in sync, worked nearly perfectly).

On the C8, I have one outdoor fixture that basically makes bulbs fall off the network within ten minutes of joining. I'll call this the "bad fixture". Swapping a bulb from a good fixture to the bad fixture results in that bulb also falling off the network within a few minutes. Bulbs that come out of the bad fixture and into a good fixture do NOT return to work as normal, and must be rejoined.

Bulbs in the bad fixture work immediately after they are joined, but only last a few minutes. There is no noticeable difference in distance from the hub between the bad and good fixtures. All of these fixtures are a mere 20 or 30 feet from the hub, and worked perfect on the C7.

I bought a set of brand new Sengled color bulbs, the result is the same.

Best guess so far, something about this fixture is causing strange radio behavior, possibly timing the zigbee radio out and causing it to believe its no longer on the network? Very stumped, and confused.

Edit: All of these fixtures have constant power, the bulbs are always powered on

I can only offer a potential workaround until Hubitat get the new Zigbee chip working as well as it did in the past. (C-3/4/5/7)

I'd fire up your C-7 and migrate all your Zigbee back to it. Then HubMesh them to the C-8 and enjoy some stability. Every few days/weeks/months you can experiment by migrating one device back to the C-8 and determine when stability arrives in your home.

I have 22 Zigbee devices on a C-8 and they have all been fine except those darn Hampton Bay Fan Controllers (HBFC). I have 4 and 2 of them have dropped off. They did that on the C-7 too until I got repeaters in exactly the right close proximity. When I migrated HBFCs to the C-8 I chose not to migrate the repeaters, thinking the Antenna would suffice but I'm paying the price.

Yes that would work, and I will probably go in that direction. But I'm just really confused at what this devices location (compared to literally 5 feet away) that one works, and the other consistently does not.

I'd understand more if it was the device that kept falling off. I have two matching fixtures on each side of the front door. The fixture on the left works, and on the right makes devices fall off. REALLY weird right? Thanks!

Yes, it's weird but it simply means that those factors don't play a part in the problem determination. Anything that is common to both working and non-working can be discarded when debugging the problem. I read elsewhere that a router in the path helps -- who'da guessed that?

The C-7 had many "new chip" issues at the beginning til SiLabs got a functional SDK released. I have not heard it suggested that this is true with the New Zigbee chip (radio) but

I have 2 of these Hampton Bay Controller on a C5 and one would continue to drop randomly and often wouldn't let me rejoin it for days. I finally gave up and bought a Bond for that fan. It works great now other than I can't dim the light (a feature I never used on this fan anyway). The other controller is solid on zigbee and I keep it there because that one I do dim the light.
