I recently had a couple of zigbee switches installed in my house. 8 of them connected in first try but there are these 2 switches that simply won't connect. I have tried to shutdown and reboot my hub and tried to connect it without 3.0 repeaters as well in exchange keys mode, it says device is found and after that it gets stuck on initiazling until timer runs out has anyone been able to find a solution for this?
What model/make are these Zigbee switches?
You can try using this workaround for pairing.

I am fortunate I have never had to use the voodoo method to this point but it is good to know it is out there.
Dumb question though. I have always heard you want to join battery devices in their final location. If you have to join them via this method close to the hub and not through a repeater as the mesh settles will they hop over to a repeater?
The device will hop to a repeater (router) of its choice when you move it to its final position.
