Zen32 z wave network

I update the firmware on one of my zen32 scene controllers and it seems to have fallen off the zwave network. No events have been logged since but it works manually. I tried a zwave repair on that one device but it didn’t fix anything.

I’m at the point of excluding and reincluding but thought I should check in here before doing so. Is there anything else I should try?

For most Zooz devices, after doing a firmware update, you need to exclude it from your hub and then do a factory reset of the device, and then reinclude it.

That’s annoying…

After doing the factory reset, I wonder if you could do a "replace" (provided you have a C7) or maybe use Bruce's method of changing the DNI like if you were migrating hubs.?

Be interesting to find out if either of those work instead of having to change out all your automations and so on.

Hmm... I updated a few Zen17, all I had to do is to change the device driver to custom Z-Wave Firmware Updater (C5 cannot use built-in updater) and change it back Zooz driver and re-configure.

I have two of these scene controllers and the other one updated fine.

I just did a bunch of firmware last week on Zooz. All the 700 chip switches did not require anything after the update, they still worked. The others I had to factory reset but was able to get them back using the "replace" include except one which refused for an unknown reason and I had to include it as a new node and delete the old one.
