I've been finding my z-wave devices being laggy or unresponsive since updating to 2.2.8 a couple of weeks ago (I waited until 2.2.8.152 before making the jump from 2.2.7). This is a C-7 with a pretty extensive mesh of hardwired z-wave devices (leviton and zooz switches for the most part, some battery motion sensors etc). Some devices are old z-wave (not plus) but they've worked well enough for a long time, don't believe that can explain any new issues.
The symptom is many times devices simply don't respond. Eg hit a scene controller button and nothing happens, or perhaps one dimmer out of 4 responds, 15 seconds later. This can also apply when trying to trigger actions from the web gui. Have run a few z-wave repairs, either full mesh or individual devices but I can't say that seems to make much difference. Sometimes things respond, sometimes not...
I've seen some vague references to z-wave problems in 2.2.8 which might be fixed in 2.2.9 - for example C5 zwave stops with only 2 Devices connected. Could that be the issue here?
I've had what appears to be a very slow responses or no response since updating to .156. I have done each update as it was released and had no issues until .156.
If I turn a light on or off from the dashboard the light responds instantly but the dashboard shows the hourglass for a very long time or it never goes away. Refreshing the dashboard shows the correct status.
@gta Start with the basics. Do you have any ghosts? Do you have any zen15 outlets or zooz 4-in-1 sensors? How much of your stuff is paired using s0? If the answer is any of the above, address those first. Next. download your latest backup (use the "Create backup and download locally" button) Save backup to someplace on your computer. Next do a soft reset and use the database you downloaded to you pc to restore. This will ensure your database is not corrupt. Go from there. Also post a copy of you z-wave settings page for us
I think you meant to say zen25 - the Zooz double plugs.
As far as I understand the zen06 and zen15 are ok.
I have had two of these on my C7 since the the beginning and have reporting minimized. I recently started to have busy messages on my zwave and with Bobby’s assistance I have now removed them both.
No ghosts that I can see - I have a UZB3 and have gone through that process in the past - also used to force several devices to pair with no security rather than S0.
On the same front, no S0 devices - everything has security "none", apart from a couple of multisensors (inovelli and aeon), and the UZB3, which are S2 unauthenticated.
I have also restarted the hub several times, including one where the power was removed (to allow complete restart of the zwave radio).
I don't see any way to create a screenshot of the entire zwave page when it extends over multiple screens... the best I can think to do here is set the font size ridiculously small so that as much as possible is visible (this is still less than half of it).
