Z Wave Repair Never Seems to End

I have less than 12 zwave devices included within Hubitat. When I run "Z wave Repair" it seems to go nowhere. The dialog showing text "Stage: Mapping Network. Refreshing node states".

My first attempt ran for over 2 hours before I aborted it. My next attempt has been running for an hour now and I will keep it running for at least 2 more hours.

Is this normal?

Not in my experience it isn't.

Which hub and what firmware are you on? If it is a C7 did you try individual device repair instead of a full repair?

Hub: C7
FW: v2.2.4.158

BTW: Tried to abort the current repair which did not work. Had to reboot

It has been said in various other threads that with the latest z-wave firmware on the C7 hub, it is not necessary to do a full zwave repair. If you have an issue with a device, just do a repair on that device.

I'll say it even more bluntly ...

If you only have zwave plus devices you don't have to do zwave repairs on ANY hub (not just C7, not just Hubitat).

That said, you should be able to do it if you want, and it should work. But it isn't necessary.

If you have non-plus devices, well that's a different story.

Pretty sure my Aeon Door/Window Sensors are no zwave plus. The remaining, however, are zwave plus

You've never said why you are trying the repair. Do you have an issue with one or more of your Z-Wave devices?

If you have battery powered devices that are showing not responding that is often normal for battery powered devices and majority of the time does not indicate there is a problem w/that device. Unless the battery powered device isn't working (e.g., contact sensor or motion sensors don't report being opened or sensing motion) then you should not do a Z-Wave repair to try to fix them.

There is an easy way to tell: If the first command class is 0x5E (z-wave plus info), it is zwave plus; otherwise it isn't.

Did you wake up your D/W sensors and other battery powered devices before starting the repair process?
