Z-Wave logs: unusual entry?

Hi folks,

While I'm not experiencing any persistent issues right now, I am seeing occasional delays in device responsiveness (sub 5 seconds vs. sub 1 second) but they're intermittent and resolve themselves. In reviewing the Z-Wave logs (which I do occasionally anyway to take a pulse on the health of my mesh), I noticed the following log entry (I've filtered the view to show only it):

I initially thought perhaps I have a ghost device, but they typically show up in both the HE Z-Wave details pane as an unnamed device often without a route to the hub (nothing there) and in Simplicity Studio's Z-Wave PC Controller tool using my Z-stick (there's nothing there either). If I click Info, I get:

Is this expected? If so, what is it? If not, any suggestions how to get rid of it?

Thx!

Its a known issue. When you open that logs page the first message for each device shows like that as Device 0, then subsequent messages are attached to the correct device.

Thx.

I'll infer then that it's safe to ignore. :+1:

Given what you've said, if I leave a log screen running for an hour or so, are you saying that I should only see null device log entries in the first or initial few rows?

PS: any reason not to fix it if the repro conditions are apparently well understood?

Its per device, so each time the logs see a new device the first log entry will be like that. So you could see them hours later if its a quiet device.

Prioritization I would guess. Those z-wave logs are typically not very useful for anything.

Thx as always!
