C-7, Platform 2.4.0.144, z-wave firmware version VersionReport(zWaveLibraryType:7, zWaveProtocolVersion:7, zWaveProtocolSubVersion:14, firmware0Version:7, firmware0SubVersion:14, hardwareVersion:1, firmwareTargets:1, targetVersions:[[target:1, version:7, subVersion:18]])
According to the z-wave repair tool, all devices are unreachable. However, I can see that some (but not all!) devices do report status back to the hub because some change their status when their physical state changes (switch turned on/off physically, for instance). However, nothing responds to commands sent from the hub - e.g. I can’t digitally turn switches on/off. If I cold boot the hub (shut down, pull power for a bit, power back up), I can get a couple of minutes of semi-normal behavior before it stops working again.
This happened to me once a few months ago, and it turned out one of my kids had unplugged a z-wave smartplug that nuked my mesh network. Is there any way to tell if that has happened again?
I have 81 devices, and going device-by-device to find the one that is offline is going to take some time (and given that they aren’t all reporting status in the log when manually toggled and commands don’t have an effect, I’m not even sure how I would tell). I did toggle every switch manually today, and I found some that report state changes and some that didn’t, but couldn’t make out any pattern. All physically worked as expected (turned their loads on/off).
I’d appreciate any troubleshooting tips people might have.
Also, I tried to add a Zooz Z-wave stick 800 to do troubleshooting via PC Controller software, and I ended up with two ghost devices I can’t remove and a z-stick that doesn’t actually associate with the C-7 hub. So that isn’t helping things, I’m sure. Go figure.
Thanks,
alk
