Hmmm - On the Z Wave Details Page what should the "update" button do?
I just clicked it and every device has gone to "not responding". Needless to say I'm a bit concerned.....

Should just do a page refreshโฆ
I've refreshed the page a few times - about 50% have returned to "ok". I really should just leave things well alone. If it aint broke.....
Edit: Sending a command to every remaining device from the dashboard brought the rest back to ok status.
If there is an optional zwave radio / sdk update thats how you install it. Very rare and they would post an announcement typically. I thought they had that button hidden when there was no update at some time but maybe they just talked about doing it.
In your case, it must have just reset some internal status similar to when you reboot so all the device status got reset. All that red does make it look scary though.
Do you mean the Settings > Z-Wave Details page? That's what it sounds like, but your screenshot is of a community app. If you are indeed talking about the former, the only one I see is at the top of the page where you can change the region or enable/disable the radio. That "Update" button just saves your changes for that. I'd avoid clicking it unless you did, in fact, make changes--and if you did, you could probably expect some disruption given what these settings do.
(This is distinct from the Z-Wave Firmware Update button, which is now hidden unless there is, in fact, an update to apply. There hasn't been in a while, assuming you're on recent hub firmware.)
Yes that's the one I clicked. It's all working again now.
Can confirm clicking the settings update seems to crash Zwave @gopher.ny
That's not the firmware update button, but clicking it (or anything) probably shouldn't crash Z-Wave regardless.
Yes I realized after I made my post that button was to update those settings (as you already explained) so I deleted my post to save myself the embarrassment, but you caught me apparently.
EDIT: Undeleted my post and took out my nonsense at the top.
You must be a glutton for punishment after I said what that button did to mine!
And here, my first thought when I saw this post was:
"oh. A way to reset z-wave stats without reboot? ... maybe I can use this... "
