This is the first time I have seen Z-Wave crash and didn't notice the crash until I realized my office lights didn't turn on with the press of one of my buttons. I went into the UI of Hubitat and the red status dot was at the top of the page that instructed me to shutdown the hub and remove power for 30 seconds and then reboot. Is there any additional information that I could look at for what caused it to crash or was this a "blue moon" event?
I would look to your database first. It could be corrupted. Download a backup (not a previously stored backup) This will clean it. Do a soft reset and then restore the database you downloaded. If it continues, look to your devices. Do you have any zooz products?
Haven't added a Z-Wave device since I migrated to the C-7 from the C-4. Z-Wave network has been stable responsive, and working great for 3+ years which was when I moved away from legacy devices to Inovelli etc. My thoughts is that this is just a blue moon crash like we see with drivers in other environments. If it happens again I would look at taking some actions but until then I was hoping there was additional logging that I could see what trigger the crash.
Database corruption can happen for a myriad of reasons. Bad write, unclean shutdown, etc. I would do the softreset and database restore first then work backwards
Also worth reviewing your zwave devices and making sure there isn't something going on with the settings, zwave details page.
Well I hit up every Z-Wave device and used the configure command just to be sure everything is still working fine. Mesh is in the same state it was before the crash so I am just going to keep letting it plug along until it happens again (maybe next blue moon?)
