Having an issue with my new Yoolax Zebra Shades (zigbee). I have two that were and installed earlier this year and I was able to get them to pair and work with HE and Alexa.
I am able to get the new ones to pair but after that I cannot operate them from the HE and I have to use the remote to operate them.
I'll admit I can only offer very limited troubleshooting assistance...
So I when you say:
I am assuming you see the device creation screen when pairing them, so have the ability to provide a name? Eventually once you complete the pairing process, what driver do you see configured for the blinds that you are saying do not work with HE? Is the driver for these devices the same or different for the blinds that do work? For those you are saying do work, have you tested them after "pairing" those blinds you are saying do not work? i.e. do they continue to work?
I have 4 shades in all, two I bought and installed earlier this year or last year and two that I just bought and installed.
The two that I bought last year work with HE and are using the Generic Zigbee Shade drivers, the two that don't work paired with the HE and defaulted to the Yolax Zigbee Shade driver. I changed them to the Generic Zigbee driver but still no joy.
To your question, HE does see them when I put them in pair mode and yes I can name the devices, etc, it's just that they do not respond to any commands issued from the HE.
I am only able to control them with the remote that came with them.
The original two are still working fine with HE and Alexa but I have not tried changing anything on them as they are working (why fix what isn't broken is my thought).
What I did notice is that in the configuration of the working shade, I can see a lot more information in the "Data" section under "Advanced" - see the screenshot below:
The new shade gives me much less information in the "Data" section:
Re your screenshots, I am seeing broken image links..... I am assuming you have not joined the right group or something else is going on. Let us know if that is likely the case and it is a simple suggestion.
Beyond that... I can only hope others can interject with more helpful detail than me... I'm still baffled...
Interestingly support asked me to remove and re-pair with the HE a number of times by choosing "Find by device type" and "Find by brand". Eventually, I was able to get both shades to respond to HE commands and also respond to Alexa.
Yoolax support also said that "Hubitat Hubs are not very stable". I wasn't sure what they meant by that so I had to explain that I have over 70 devices connected to my HE and have never experienced this issue with any of them (although they are not all shades).
So now they are working but I am not sure why repeatedly trying eventually worked. I still don't know the root cause and support is straight out of China so they don't seem to understand much of what I said i.e. the support is TERRIBLE!!
Okay, so they are using the newer Yolax Zigbee driver as it automatically selects this driver once the pairing is completed.
What is interesting is that when I tried repeatedly removing and re-pairing the newer shades until they worked I immediately checked the details to see if they had changed and were showing more info and as of last night, both were the same as the second screenshot in my prior post which is why I was confused.
This morning, however, I just checked to send you a screenshot and now I am seeing the detailed info:
