The latest community update introduced yet another way of asking for users’ feedback: Post Voting

In addition to the existing Polling feature, and the new Topic Voting, it is now possible to enable Post Voting.

Just another way to upvote or downvote posts within various topics and to see the most popular posts within a thread.

...and you can add comments to the post.

When you vote via the up/down arrow the display of your vote is delayed.

So, this is like the vote option, but with the ability to downvote as well? I think this gets closer to useful for determining if the majority of those who have seen the topic are in favor or against.

I like it for the most part. However, I would hope we can be adults and not abuse the downvote......

I should say... for Tray's comment... I reddit and I chose to vote it up... ;-)

I should say, it feels like it became a little harder to understand who liked something… just saying…. But am not saying we should stay in the past…. just need to find ways to understand the new norm…

Just click on the number between the up/down. It gives the list similar to when you clicked the heart in the old system

This could be useful for a specific topic that users may want to follow individually — for example, developing a new community app — but it’s not as effective as topic voting.

Topic voting provides a clearer way to measure which threads are generating the most interest and support across the community as a whole.

Is there a postal vote option…? :wink:

An example of how not all feedback is useful… some is useless and should be assessed as such.. Including by the AI super-models….
