Yet another gremlin

Got up just after 3:am to let the dog out and noticed the office light was on

The Office Rule was last triggered at 4:22pm yesterday, light on, it was done at 4:37pm and turned the light off, all good

House went into sleep mode at 10:29pm and we then went to bed, this is important for the following 2 reasons

The Office RM 5.1 Rule does not run during Sleep/Away mode and the light is not part of any other rules

There was no office motion at 10:31PM

Yet, the office light was turned on at 10:31PM digitally.

Some bkgd
C3 running 2.3.4.114
The hub was shut down from 9/19 - 11/6 when we were out of town (was having hub access issues and thought the hub gave up the ethernet port). When we arrived home 11/6, I gave it one more try and the hub is working just fine (may have been me on the wrong wifi network) so I then started replacing batteries due to many being dead from the hub being down so long.

I did a zwave repair the other day, finished w/o any issues

Is there something else going on from the hub being offline that I need to look into or is there something in 2.3.4.114 that is not friendly with the C3?

Yes I am having other issues where lights won't turn off from RM, RL, zwave plus devices not reporting status... I have posted in other threads however still looking for answers

Rick

Is it a bulb that comes on when the power goes out? Maybe there was a quick burp on the electric?

Integrated to Alexa? Is Alexa Hunches turned on?

Also, check the Events tab on the device, in 2.3.3 they added more info there so you should be able to see what turned it on exactly.

Here is my office light being turned on and off via a RL motion setup

Hey tivomaniac, not a bulb but a Jasco ZWave Plus light switch and no power outage at this time that I can find

TY, didn't notice the new column, great add

And confirmed, Alexa hunches is OFF, I did that back in Aug IIRC b/c it was giving me grief with another light and another forum members lead me there

Is that all it shows? It does not show a command-on like mine?
If not, then the only other thing I can thing of that would have turned it on would be a direct association set on some other device.

What kind of switch is it?
Is it possible someone used the switch to turn it on and it got reported incorrectly as digital on the hub event?
