Yeelight YLXD41YL Ceiling Lamp

Dear hubitat team / community.

I bought another (new?) Yeelight model, the YLXD41YL, and the yeelight integration refuses to load it.

unable to add model [ceiling11], we don't know what this device's capabilities are...

The lamp has the following abilities:

  • On/Off
  • Change Whitebalance
  • Normal Mode
  • Moon Mode

Please add it to the supported devices list of the yeelight integration.

Thank you

Hi, I have the same problem with the YLXD50YL. How can we go about getting the devices supported? If it was a driver, I'd happily take a look at the code.

Anyone solve this issue yet? I accidentally bought 2 of these and same issue.

Normally the hubitat team just adds the lamp name to the list of supported apps in the native hubitat app.

In the past this worked without flaw, when reported.

This time, they didn't do it and I don't know why.

@hubitat maybe this can be looked at?

Ok thanks, I did send in a support ticket just last week. I will tag Mr. @mike.maxwell here so he can see your original request. Hopefully we will get an update soon.

Same for the Bedside Lamp D2 -

@rod.mamo This is not the same device. I recommend you start a new post on that.

Mmm..
I didn't say it's the same.. i said it has the identical driver recognition problem..

Also, if you post the model number like danirtoma did "Yeelight YLXD41YL Ceiling Lamp" and cc mike with the full log error they might be able to add the device for you. I would like get those lamps as well, if they are added.

What I don't understand is, why there isn't the possibility to add new lamp models and capabilities yourself - but that's another topic.

in platform 2.2.8, an unidentified model will add as a dimmable bulb, after which the user can change it to the correct driver as required.

Thanks for the update @mike.maxwell

In my case the Yeelight app recognizes but does not add the device so I am not able able to set the device handler.

Right, thats the point, in 2.2.8 you will...

Thanks Mike
