Yale Matter lock not showing up in lock code manager

Yale Matter lock works fine when I use it in hubitat but the generic matter lock driver is not letting it showing up in the lock code manager. Please help

Does this Matter lock support setting lock codes from it's Hubitat device page?

If it does not, then the "setCode" and "deleteCode" commands needed for Lock Code Manager to work will not be available. Ergo, the lock will not be usable from within Lock Code Manager.

P.S. Currently, I view Matter to be a hobbled protocol. Most manufacturers do not expose all device properties/attributes to be available via Matter. It would not surprise me if Yale only permitted setting/removing lock codes via their proprietary app.

Lock codes can be set via Apple Home Kit or Yales Bluetooth app but is not exposed via matter directly.
I didn't test this lock with any other bridges.

I can issue the lock and unlock from hubitatt but I guess that doesn't mean I can set codes right? So frustrating that these manufacturers don't expose it all. Why not? Seems short sighted.

So it locks you to using their cloud-dependent app/architecture.

This is the reason I have stuck with zigbee/z-wave/Lutron devices.

This lock can't be used with Yale app if it's provisioned using matter which leads me to believe that they would expose the commands. Is there a way to test this manually? I'm also new to matter. I'm trying to mess with until it's mature enough since it's suppose to use less battery and with my remote locks at various properties is very important.

Test what manually? Setting lock codes? As @mike.maxwell indicated above, settings lock codes is not exposed to Matter.

I never tried using the yale app with this lock, I use it with the other yale locks that are bluetooth enabled (with z-wave modules), are you saying that you initially connected and setup this lock using the yale access app, then added it to Hubitat, and that disabled bluetooth presumably?

Interesting, not sure why Yale did it this way:

Yea it requires Google home I think for the bridge to initialize. Then I can add it fine to hubitat but seems odd that the set code ls wouldn't work.
