Windows all done!

Finally installed the 36th and final blind motor in my house.... Woohoo! (all but one is an iblinds v3, the last is an AM43)

36????!!

Have you replaced your kitchen cupboard doors with individual roller blinds?

That must look amazing from outside with some dusk/dawn automations.

Or Linux. Or about anything at this point.

As they say, pics or it didn't happen.
Actually, I'd settle for one pic.
I'm not in the auto-blind world, and hope to never be, but it's still interesting.

Worth saying again:

WTF...I hope that iBlinds has a fequent buyer program, you must be the winnah. My five iBlinds now feel very small and pitiful. My wife hates automation and I'm barely holding on to having those five installed.

I have one smart blind in the master bathroom that rarely gets used. I feel woefully inadequate here...

I don't have blinds apart from a roller in the Kitchen, to which an AM43 is fitted (my sole Zigbee device). The other windows have curtains, and for those I've got motorised track with 230V Dooya 52S motors, controlled by Qubino Z Wave Shutter modules (with manual override swicthes wired in)

I'm surprised more people don't automate their window coverings. Even in my little house with only 6 windows controlled, the convenience of them opening/closing based on external light level, time etc makes WAF level high.

Hahahaha

A lot of it is because all bedrooms have 2 windows, we have two sets of 3 windows and 3 sets of 2 windows and each bottom floor room has 5 windows.

Now you need a whole-house movie with them in action, lol. Like those old movies with synchronized swimming. Maybe with music, lol.

The front of the house has 10 windows, I do want to do a good Halloween display one day with projectors

(Porch work starts in a couple of weeks)

Holy crap, Those skinny windows have their own auto rollers?
And the dormers? Is that occupied.
Nice place, btw! Looks like quality construction.

  1. Each window has it's own shade. They're 2" blinds not rollers though (we have a roller blind in the kitchen though)

The 3rd floor is fully finished. Full bedroom (guest) kids play room and full bathroom. 8 foot ceiling (then from the joists to the peak, 9') My wife keeps her office up there. 4 chimneys with 5 fireplaces. Bought it for 21k (long story) With finished basement it's 5600 sf

The iBlinds motor must barely fit!

They actually fit pretty well in the canopy (or whatever the top part is called) The control button though has to be velcroed to the back of each valence.

That could be amazing....

We also want to do permanent lighting

Be careful.

And I’d sweep the chimneys from the bottom, lol.
