Just got a new, basic, router.
Walking around the house with my Android phone looking at the signal strength screen symbol.
Based on that, I've mounted the router on the wall with the antennae vertical. I think of it as "art".
Can anyone recommend an app, I guess, that could assist in WiFi analysis?
Thanks.
Thanks. Reading now.
"Heatmap". My new word for the day.

I like the android app Network Analyzer Pro. Functions:
- Scan your LAN for connected devices
- Separate tools to for Ping, route, port, whois, etc.
- Scan you house for other wifi signals in a graphical look (2.4 and 5 GHz) with a graphical representation
- Useful in looking for unintended neighbor interference.
- Can also help to check interference between your zigbee channels and wifi channels (there can be interference).

NetSpot. Make a crude hand drawn sketch of your Floorplan. Upload it. And take some measurements. It then provides a heatmap.
