Every community developer who shares their code for apps or drivers with the rest of us is effectively a volunteer. Which is amazing, frankly.
But Visual Rule Builder, as far as I know, is a built-in app just like Rule Machine or Room Lighting.
There are other examples of community dev work that was actually folded into the hub firmware, but that’s happened only a couple of times.
The UI requires major changes. It is not something a group of voluteers could help with. It has been the company's biggest project that started a while ago, and the results of this effort will soon be more visible to the end users. We really appreciate everyone's patience and understanding.
I've seen early iterations of the new UI, and I'm hugely concerned that it's going to be extremely divisive:
You just know all of those "Star Wars people" are going to be pretty unhappy. 
Please do not share Beta screenshots outside the Beta group 
Oh well, another ban to the doghouse (just like at home).
I just have no idea how anyone could not love that!
