I feel I'm missing something.
The rule
Kitchen Occupied (vs) is a virtual switch. When it turns on the rule executes. as you can see the Lux value is 9 and the If action executes. The problem is the repeat does not stop until the switch turns off.
I would have expected the While to stop on the first iteration.
For the “Stop Repeating Actions” to work, you will need to make the “While” stoppable.
If you edit it, you will see a “Stoppable?” toggle on the bottom.
Try enabling it and let me know if it works!

Thank, that will fix it. I know about "Stoppable" and even looked for it. Guess I was moving too fast and did not pay enough attention.
