I use this as my sanity check that the sump pump is indeed working on raining days. I have an over-ride switch to prevent the notifications when heavy rain sets it off frequently.

Separately, I also have a Rule for a daily count of how many times the sump pump runs. It is displayed on my main dashboard. I have it graphed using Hubigraph.

Room condition changes depending on the blind to know if my girl is in bed.

I linked my virtual thermostat to the home control buttons on my Harmony remote.

Pushing button 2 toggles the bedside tablet on/off
Holding button 2 announces the current setpoint.
Pushing button 3 increases and announces the setpoint.
Holding button 3 toggles the aircon on/off.
Pushing button 4 decreases and announces the setpoint.
Holding button 4 toggles the heater on/off.

I added the 1 second wait so it only announces once after multiple pushes.

I also created a rule to allow both decimal and number variables, this way the setpoint is read aloud as a whole number or a decimal accordingly (hearing 21 point zero bugged me)

Monitoring the APC state and battery and then shutting down if needed before the hub looses power. Has notifications as well letting me know the battery level constantly. Have only used it in testing thus far. I almost feel like this should be an app, since other people could probably use this same thing.

Have a desk lamp that has to be turned on manually via touch controls on the lamp. I made a virtual switch for its state and use this rule to figure out if it is on or off based on the energy reporting.
