Found this cute video showcasing where I have settled (Nelson Bay) and thought it might encourage others to share some of the highlights of where they live in the world....
For those interested:
- My avatar is a photo from partway up Mt Tomaree looking back at Zenith and Box Beach, on a clear day a beautiful view and has made me think I should do it again in the next week while I am on leave from work...
- I used to work in the Coal industry (in IT), including the planning and scheduling of the ship loading in Newcastle which they drove through (Port Waratah Ship Loader at Kooragang Island), something I drive through also most weeks on the way to work
- The fire and large surf make me feel like the video was taken much earlier than last year... I have a similar shot of Newcastle Baths when I used to play beach volleyball with friends once a week... And I remember there was a bad fire at Mt Tomaree a few years ago...
- The Thai restuarant is nice, shame they didn't show the local Golf Club that is a local haunt for us in the street
