When to give up

Good to hear you got things sorted!

For second building applications Hub Mesh is a great option if you have LAN access running to it.

If you can pick up a used C5/7/8, it'll work fine for a few sensors and rules without having to worry about wireless range.

Can you be more specific?

No integrations are needed for supported non Qolsys window sensors if the panel has the supporting radio band. With IQ4 you purchase the bands and cell platform you want.

For zigbee you buy the card and install it.

Fwiw: the panel also has Z-Wave so locks, lights and things like zooz relays are supported.

The pool house is an attached structure to the main house over what originally was an outdoor pool…

I’m the seventh owner of this place and owner 2 or 3 thought it would be a cool idea…

Don’t ever do that unless you want to maintain lots of environmental control systems.

Don't forget the face paint and mask!

Ah, that sort of explains it. There's nothing special about ADT, except some perceived value in the name. People see ADT in banks and commercial installations and think they're getting some premium security system in their home. What you end up with is an overpriced rebranded security system and an expensive contract. The Qolsys panel though is a very good panel, at least they got that part right.

Unless you mean that literally, the panel is probably fine. I'm paying $26/month for monitoring. If you can get the dealer code for your panel (try 2222) then you can install better sensors and choose a different monitoring service. PowerG sensors are rock solid, inherently long range, and don't operate in wifi, zigbee or zwave bands. I would never in a million years trust my home security to anything running on Zigbee.

I was never provided the admin access to that panel, so that's why I'm here

What model?

It was the current technology in May of 2018....I wanna say IQ4.

You have discarded it? If not do you have any interest at all to see if you can gain control of it and potentially use it?

I'm game for that.... It's powered off and still on the wall.

Now I have a new Zigbee problem... No devices show on the Zigbee net graph " failed to fetch" error.

No Zigbee sense function and no toggling to open when I open any door.

I'll post a new problem to the community

What I recommend is go over to the Surety site and ask for help determine if you can take over the device. They are very friendly and helpful and can tell you with some info you pass them privately.

Thank you for the tip....

I'll do that once I get this Zigbee net problem solved.
