What's the rule or name to look at device status?

I normally search but I don't know what the keyword to search. I guess I'm trying to find out the rule to read the device state.

What I am try to do is when I open the back door, I want HE to check if the front door is unlocked and if it is, to lock it. If locked, don't do anything.

I tried that but it doesn't work. I mean it will works if I do the rule by itself but it doesn't work with the rule I had created which I have removed since it was working intermittently for me.

My rule:
When I arrive, unlock the front door. If the garage is open and garage/laundry room opens, lock the front door. But if time was 10pm to 4am, lock front door right when garage opens. I will recreate the rule and try it again and report back. I think I used the wrong triggers.

Your response did help. I thought it was a different option to look at the device status.

I created a separate rule for now.
